Alan George Llewelyn, 85, passed away on January 1, 2026 at Allied Hospice Center in Scranton, PA after a brief illness. Born on November 18, 1940 in Orson, PA, Alan was the son of the late George & Edna (Rhone) Llewellyn. He was a lifelong resident of Orson, PA. Alan was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent his career at PennDOT and later worked as a handy-man at Camp Ramah. He loved to read, fish, watch sports and spend time with his grandchildren.

Alan is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Ann (Weist) Llewellyn and his five children, Michael Doherty (Krista), Tracy Collins (James), Kelly Pratcshler (Michael), Kimberly Pabon (Matthew) and Megan Llewellyn. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren (Caroline, Michael, Justin, James, Dominic, Madelin, Patrick, Kenneth, Devin, Derick and Brayson) and two great-grandchildren (Jaxson and Westen).  He is also survived by his sister, Kathleen Spencer (Robert), brother William Llewellyn (Marium) and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Larry and nephew, Scott.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 4-7pm at Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel in Hancock, NY. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 10 am at St. Julianna's Church in Rock Lake, PA. Interment burial will be held in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Alan's memory to Northern Wayne Community Library, Northern Wayne Fire Company or Allied Services Foundation, 100 Abington Executive Park, Clarks Summit, PA 18411.
