Albert E. Van Loan, 66, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY, where he had been a heart patient for several weeks. He was born on October 26, 1947 in Hancock, NY, the son of Kenneth and Aleathea (Fischer) Van Loan. Al lived most of his life in Starlight, PA, and was self employed for many years. Surviving are 2 children, Terri, and David and wife Rhonda (Wormuth) Van Loan, 1 granddaughter, Brandie Lee, 3 grandsons, Bryan Lee and Trevor and Bailey Van Loan, and 1 great grandson Tyler Dumond, all of Starlight, PA. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Ronald of Sidney Center, NY, and Francis and wife Debbie, 1 sister, Bonnie and husband Robert Elmore, of Starlight, PA, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 11AM-1PM with a service following at 1PM all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock, NY. Rev. Dr. Roxy Moses will officiate and interment will take place in the spring in Balls Eddy Cemetery, Starlight, PA.
