Angelia Pearl VanTyle, 79, of Hancock, NY, died on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY, after a long illness. She was born on May 20, 1937 in Anderson, IN, the daughter of Floyd and Bernice (Carpenter) Doan. Angie married Robert VanTyle on September 6, 1980 in Hancock, NY. She was a foster parent for many years for Broome County and then her and Bob were foster parents for Delaware County for 27 years. Angie was a woman of faith and was a member of the Hancock Baptist Church. She loved hummingbirds, flowers, and chipmunks. Surviving are her husband, Bob, 6 children, Tim and wife Doris Bronson, Tom and wife Joyce, Dan and wife Melissa Bronson, Kathy and husband Dean Matthews, Samantha VanTyle, and Clifford VanTyle, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by 7 sisters, Mary Ann Slocum, Darlene Ellot, Bettie Lu Doan, Margie Hatton, Alonzo Doan, Kathy Doan, and Debbie Doan and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks goes to Peggy Fenescey and Rebecca Singer for their help with Bob's loving care of Angie over the last 6 years.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 from 2-4 with a memorial service at 3:30 at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. Private interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock. Donations can be made in Angie's memory to Town of Hancock Ambulance, P.O.
