Betina J. Linke, 79, of Starlight, PA, died on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY, after a short illness. She was born on March 4, 1940 in Cadosia, NY, the daughter of George and Florence (Squires) Ellett. Tina married William Linke on October 6, 1974. She was an active member of St. Paul the Apostle Church, Hancock, since she converted to Catholicism in 1977. Tina went on a group trip to Lourdes, France, where she and others at the shrine volunteered to help bathe other pilgrims with healing water She loved to ride and train horses along with gardening, which she spent much time doing, and she was an excellent self taught cook! Surviving are her husband, Bill, 3 sons, Bill (Laura), Ed (Lisa), and Chris (Heather), 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 brother, Betram Ellett, 4 sisters, Fran Curtis, Georgianna Arnold, Leta Schoonmaker, and Gwendolyn Carey, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Abby. Tina was predeceased by her parents and 5 sisters, Hilda Van Zant, Wilma LeRoy, Beverly Reiser, Diedra Smith, and Zelda Ellett. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 19th, 2019 from 5-8PM at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 20th, 2019, at 10:30AM at St. Pauls Church, Hancock, followed by burial in the parish cemetery.
