Bonnie (Pomeroy) Jenson died unexpectedly Wednesday March 9, 2022, at home. She was 64.
Bonnie was born in Walton on November 15, 1957. The youngest child of Earl and Janet (Brannen) Pomeroy.
Bonnie graduated from Walton Central School, Class of 1975. She worked at the Walton Bakery, Downsville Central School, SUNY Delhi, SUNY Oneonta and retired in 2017 from Binghamton University as Senior Associate Director, Human Resources. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Empire while working full time. To say that Bonnie was a dedicated worker would be an understatement. She enjoyed the challenges and rewards that her work brought her. Above that, she enjoyed the people she worked with. Each one was special to her. Bonnie was a true and faithful friend, always ready to jump in with support. Each person in her life was special to Bonnie, she loved deeply.
Bonnie had a special empathy for animals and thoroughly loved her Doberman "pups": Doc Holliday and Daisy Duke. She spent many hours taking her pups for walks or just sitting with them at home. They were her constant companions. She was predeceased by her special pup "Angel". She enjoyed music, craft shows, guns, four wheelers, walking, friends, and family. In her younger years she had a love of motorcycles enjoying many summer rides, and always meticulous about her cars, cleaning and polishing them weekly.
Bonnie married Robert Jenson on July 24,1994. They enjoyed many years on the "hill", and she loved spending time on their property. Although Bonnie had no biological children, she had so many "adopted" children of friends and family. She cherished them. As much as Bonnie loved others, she loved her Lord above all. "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8. She enjoyed her years and relationships at the East Branch Community Church where her father preached. Those were special times for her. Bonnie sang in different groups at church and was an unofficial leader of the young peoples group activities. She made lifelong friends there. Those that knew her will remember her sweet sprit and quick and easy laughter.
Bonnie was predeceased by her father Earl Pomeroy and Father- in-Law Percy Jenson as well as loved aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends that have passed before her. She is survived by her loving husband Bob Jenson, her mother Janet Pomeroy, her sister Dawn (Doug) Norwood, Brother Gene (Eiko) Pomeroy. Bobs children, Robert (Jennifer) Jenson Jr., and Julie Jenson. Grandchildren, Amelia, Alec, Taylor, Katee and Makayla. Her beloved niece Jordan. Bonnie was very proud of her and spoke of her often. She is also survived by her uncle, many cousins, friends and "adopted" children. God will wipe every tear from our eyes, and there will be no more sorrow.
