Bonnie L. Nevin (Hennessey), 68, of Pea Brook, NY, passed on to her heavenly home November 13, 2021, at Albany Medical Center. She was born on August 18, 1953, in Hancock to Wayne and Grace (ODell) Hennessey. She graduated from Downsville Central School, and SUNY Cobleskill with a degree in Culinary Arts. She worked for a time at Read Memorial Hospital, Hancock, and despite her physical disability she worked many years at Becton Dickinson. She married Dave on January 21, 1977, and they enjoyed 44 years together always supporting each other through many joys and several heartbreaks. Bonnie enjoyed working with her flowers and plants, watching the birds and any wildlife and above all she loved children. She welcomed many nieces, nephews, and any child into their home with love and attention. Proudly showing off their artwork or a story. Bonnie was passionate about cooking, looking for new recipes to try, watching cooking shows, especially Rachel Ray. She always wanted to be sure you had something to eat and then a little something sweet to top it off. She loved to hear about her family and friends restaurant experiences, asking each person what they had and how they liked it. Bonnie was always interested in hearing the latest news of the family or neighborhood. She enjoyed her telephone conversations but mostly if you called her! She was frugal and stubborn to a fault, and we would tease her about both. Bonnie was happiest at home with Dave or riding around the "block" or farther looking for deer. She was immensely proud of Dave, his ability to build their home, his hunting prowess, and his gentle heart. He cherished her always and was an attentive caregiver these last few years. Bonnie is survived by her one true love, David Nevin. Her siblings, Ricki Hennessey, Earl (Kelly) Hennessey, Dick (Penny) Hennessey and Mary Hennessey (Gerry Wormuth). She is also survived by her sisters and brothers in law, Becky (Steve) Nevin-Gales, Hannah (Terry) Sterbenz, Sarah (Dennis) Lewis, and Steve (Binkie) Nevin. A special cousin, Cherie Barnes, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Bonnie was predeceased by an infant son, David, her parents Wayne and Grace Hennessey, her parents-in-law George and Ruth Nevin. There will be a graveside service at the Pea Brook cemetery at the convenience of the family in the spring.
