Brenda L. Ostrander, 67, of Fishs Eddy, entered Heaven's Gates on January 25, 2014. She was born on June 13, 1946 in Norwich, NY, the daughter of Lewis and Mabel Winner Ostrander. An outstanding mother and homemaker, Brenda loved to cook and enjoyed gardening, reading books, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren. Brenda married Arthur Tompkins on August 27, 1966 and had 3 children together.Surviving are her loving significant other of 35 years, Gordon Davis, 2 daughters, Mitzi Tompkins and significant other, Tom Buchholz, and Nicole and husband Shawn Green, 1 son, Lewis Tompkins, and 1 brother, Kevin Ostrander. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Alexis Keesler, Brittney Keesler, Taylor Keesler, Gwendolyn Green, Vanessa Tompkins, and Ethan Tompkins, 1 great grandson, Aidan Seibles, and 2 nephews, Lewis and Donald Ostrander. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from 2-4 with a service following at 4 all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. Interment will be at a later date in Partridge Island Cemetery, Fishs Eddy.
