Brian James Appley, 64, of Fishs Eddy NY, born November 1, 1957 in Hancock NY, passed away from this life peacefully in his sleep on May 9, 2022.
Brian was the first-born child to James and Altheda (Whipple) Appley of Fishs Eddy NY. He married Tina McIvor on July 17, 1982 in Fishs Eddy NY and together they had two sons, Asa and Evan. Brian worked for Victory Markets in his youth before starting a career at Becton Dickinson where he worked as a machinist for 26 years, until the plant closure, he then joined Mirabito as a boiler technician. Brian loved coaching his boys little league baseball teams, hunting with his family at the Appley camp, fishing, Hershey bars and most importantly helping others. His greatest accomplishments in life were his children and granddaughters, they were the Appleys of his eye.
Those surviving to mourn his loss include his wife Tina, two sons Asa his wife Randi Appley and Michael Ricco. Granddaughters Kadyn and Karynn Appley, father James Appley, siblings Karen and Scott Possemato, Alan Appley, Todd and Marcia Appley, Beth and Tom Horton and Marla and Matthew Gorton. Brother in law Edward and Nancy McIvor, Sister in laws Kyle Rowles, Robin, Lynn and Judy McIvor. Many special nieces and nephews Scott Possemato, Seth, Emily, Chelsea and Courtnie Appley, Jarrett and Vanessa Horton, Marina Gorton, Cody Rowles, Jessica McIvor, Jacob McIvor, Zach Sinclair, Sadie and Lyncoln Mendes, Jamie, Erica, Amanda. He was predeceased by his Mother Altheda and his Son Evan.
Brian will be remembered by his quick wit and sarcastic humor always trying to make someone laugh. It gives us comfort knowing that Brian and Evan are reunited.
Family and Friends are invited to a gathering for a celebration of Brians life on Saturday May 14, 2022 at the East Branch Fire Hall in East Branch, NY from 3-5 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hancock Community Education Foundation to the Evan Appley Memorial Scholarship Fund.
