Cassandra "Dee" (Buchanan) Hadden, of Starrucca, PA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 12th, at Regional Hospital in Scranton, PA, after a short illness. She was predeceased by her father, Orval Buchanan, her mother Eleanor (Van Loan) Buchanan, husband Ronald Hadden, and brother-in-law Ivan Wormuth. Dee is survived by her daughter Colleen (Buchanan) Schultz and fiancee' Tom Giordano, Lakewood, PA, granddaughter, Ashley and husband, Donnie Craycraft, Starrucca, PA, granddaughter, Jessica and her husband, Joshua Carpenter, Carbondale, PA, great grandchildren Shiandia Craycraft and Elliott Carpenter, sister Joyce and husband Roger of Concord, NC, sister Iva and husband Paul of Hornell, NY, brother, Vaughn and wife Ruby, Sherman, PA, sister Eileen "Kay" Wormuth, Starrucca, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dee was a seamstress in her early career, working at numerous factories in the area. She came to work at Mae and John's on Route 17 with her daughter and other family members where she made some lifelong friends and had more laughs than can be counted. She continued in her waitressing career until she became full-time caretaker to her husband, and in later years, her mother. Dee continued to love sewing all the rest of her days. She also loved fishing with her granddaughters, deer hunting, playing card and board games, planning parties for friends and family, singing while Ronnie strummed the guitar and dancing at the "Circle V". More recently she was happy being able to contact and chat with friends on the computer and mostly being around her great grandchildren. She was loved by many and touched a lot of lives. She will never be forgotten. Services were held at Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, 29 East Main Street, Hancock, New York 13783, Sunday, November 18th. Calling hours noon til 2pm, with services at 2pm. Reverend Al Rodriguez officiated. Per her wishes, she was cremated prior to services. Arrangements by Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
