Chad Clement Meyer, 34, of Long Eddy, passed away on July 4, 2025.

At a young age he was dealt many hardships; he was the recipient of multiple liver transplants but that didn't dampen his spirit. He went on to spend many years as an alter boy at St. Patrick's church. He graduated from Sullivan West in 2009 and was voted class clown which was a great accomplishment in his eyes. He graduated from SUNY Delhi in 2011.

Chad was a dedicated electrician having worked at Ross Electric and most recently as a laborer at Tompkins Bluestone. He was known for his hardworking nature, kind heart, and deep loyalty to those he loved. He was a friend to many and cherished the connections he made throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving grandmother, Ruth Doetsch; his parents, Bradford and Holly Meyer; his sisters, Stacey Snedeker and her husband Kevin, Sylvia Galligan and her partner Todd Jones; and his beloved nephews, Finley and Easton Snedeker. He will be especially missed by his beloved dog Schmoop.Chad will also be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many close friends that were like family.

He is predeceased by his grandparents Vernon Meyer, Nena Meyer, and Warren Doetsch, Aunts Arylene Lusk and Nancy Hillriegel and his cousin Dina Hillriegel.

Chad's warmth, sense of humor, and generous spirit left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 5-8PM at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 11AM at St. Patrick's Church, Long Eddy, NY. Burial will be in the Meyer Cemetery, Long Eddy, NY.
