Charles E. Grant, 93, of Livingston Manor, died on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Roscoe Nursing Home, Roscoe, NY. He was born on December 29, 1923 in Cadosia, NY, the son of George and Mary (Dibble) Grant. Sonny served in the US Army during WWII and the European War from 1943-1946. He married Virginia Morgan on September 29, 1950 in Hancock, NY. He retired as an electrician from the IBEW in New York City. Sonny was a member of the NRA and the Little Ireland Hunting Club.Surviving are his wife, Virginia, 2 sisters, Betty Hadden and Inez Brown, 1 brother, Harold, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 4 sisters, Evelyn Finnegan, Virginia Darling, Pearl Finnegan, and Frances Grant, 1 brother, Frank, and Willard Dibble, who was Sonnys cousin but more like a brother to him. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 1PM in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock, NY.
