Clara W. Bennett, 92, of Cadosia, NY, died at the home of her son, Alan, on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. Clara was married to Russell Bennett who predeceased her in April, 1947, Merton Houshultz who predeceased her in February 1989, and Berton Bennett who predeceased her in December 2004. She was a member of the Emory United Methodist Church and active with the United Methodist Women, volunteering for many church activites. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed reading, crafts, and making cakes for various occasions. Surviving are 2 sons, Alan and wife Rosemary, and Larry and wife Barbara, 14 grandchildren, and many great and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her long time care giver, who was special to her, Bette-Lou Mead. Clara was predeceased by a son, Michael Bennett, a daughter, Carol Snyder, and a brother, Joe Wood. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 6-8PM at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 11AM at the Emory United Methodist Church, Hancock. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock.
