Clare Skinner, 70, of Hancock, NY, returned home to God on January 15, 2017 with her family by her side. Clare had been battling Alzheimers disease for the last few years. Clare was born in Johnson City, NY, to Russell and Mary Homer on May 22, 1946. She graduated from Hancock Central School in June 1964 and shortly after married her husband Ed Skinner in July 1964, whom she spent 55 years with. She was a successful real estate agent at Klimchok Real Estate and spent a few a years managing the Smiths Colonial Motel. Clare was briefly a manager at Curves and also volunteered at Hancock Central School, reading with elementary students. She was a kind and selfless, God-loving soul. She was caring and family oriented. Clare was a member of the East Branch Methodist Church and an Elder at the Lordville Church.Surviving are her husband Ed Skinner, her favorite dog, Bella, 2 sons, Mark and wife Lynn Skinner, and Eric Skinner, and 3 grandchildren, Harlee, Andrew, and Alex. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Sandra and husband Clive Yates, and Christy Juran, 2 brothers, Craig and Clark Homer, and many nieces and nephews.
