Craig K. Emerich Sr., 75, of East Branch, NY, died on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY, after a long illness. He was born on November 18, 1939 in Fishs Eddy, NY, the son of Norman and Marjorie (Mudge Dietz) Emerich, who have both predeceased him. Craig spent 38 years as a construction worker with the Laborers Local Union #7 out of Binghamton, NY. He was a co-finding father of the Eagle Mtn. Hunting Club as well as a lifetime member of the NRA, a member of the Ontario and Western (O&W) Railway Historical Society, and an Honorary Member of the East Branch Volunteer Fire Dept. Craig was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Oakland/LA Raiders.Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Charlotte (Sprague), 4 children, Craig Jr., and wife Lisa Emerich, of Downsville, Kyle and fianc, Susan Viviano, and Daniel, both of East Branch, and Erica and husband Richard Mills, of Corbett,grandchildren, Jeremy and Samantha Brunner, of Harvard, John and Charity Graham, of Colorado, Marvin and Heather Mills-Bertholf, of Downsville, Sabrina Mills, of Corbett, Kyle II and Lindsey Emerich, of North Carolina, and Lucas and Nichole Emerich, and Jeffrey Emerich, all of Downsville, 5 great granddaughters, Olivia, Haley, Joyce, Riley, and Emmalyn, and 5 great grandsons, Gavin, Seth, Landon, Wyatt, and Noah. Craig is further survived by 2 sisters, Fay and husband Millard Felter, and Sally and husband Rolland Bojo, 2 brother in laws, Donald Charles and Allan Hadden, 7 sister in laws, Deloris Emerich, Marie Flora, Dorris Farchild, Mary Charles, Caroline Lacey, Janet Hadden, and Ellma Eschbach and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Arliss, Neil, and Dwayne, 2 sister in laws, Sharon and Shirley Emerich, father and mother in law, Arley and Lillian Hadden, and 5 brother in laws, Arley Hadden, France Eschbach, Mike Flora, Stanley (Curly) Fairchild, and Lennard Lacey. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Saturday, April 25th, 2015 at the Colchester Community Methodist Church in Downsville, NY. Visitation will be from 2PM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Craig's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, or to the East Branch Fire Dept.
