Daniel S. Wahl Sr., 60, of Hancock, NY, died suddenly on Monday, January 27, 2025. He was born on January 27, 1965 in Hancock, NY, the son of Raymond and Inez (Couse) Wahl. Daniel married Carla Peck on September 24, 2011 in Corbett, NY.

Daniel held various jobs over the years, which included landscaping, carpentry, as well as buy, sell, and trade. Daniel enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding 4 wheelers. He also enjoyed going out for karaoke night and playing his guitar. Daniel was very active in dog and cat rescue. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Carla; 4 children: Daniel Jr. (Erin Lobdell), Peter, Jessica Pent, and Marissa (Charles) Wahl; stepdaughter, Renee (Douglas) Young; also Raymond (Karen) Rought, who he had a very special bond with; and 8 grandchildren: Alexander, Alina, Raelynn, Skylar, Taylor, Elly, Leanna, and Lila. Also surviving is a sister, Patti (Roger) Widmann; brother, Kevin; niece Kathryn; nephew, Roger Jr.; 2 uncles, Frank and Howard (Debbie) Couse; 2 aunts, Eva Bullis and Marilyn Dugan; and many cousins.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date at Dan's home.
