Donald E. Brannen, 66, of Shinhopple, NY, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Delaware Valley Hospital, Walton, NY. He was born on February 8, 1950 in Liberty, NY, the son of Watson and Lucille (Boyles) Brannen. Donald was a Vietnam Veteran, earning the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Rosemary (Polomcean), 2 children, Matthew Brannen and Rebecca (Jonathan) Shields, 3 grandchildren, Quinnlyn, Adam, and Maliyah Shields, 2 sisters, Dolores Boone and Sandra Wise, 1 brother, Bradley Hubbard, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Darlene Fredenburgh. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 9AM-11AM at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
