Donald L. Ronk, Sr. 96, of Fishs Eddy, passed away on March 9, 2018 at the Roscoe Regional Nursing Home after a brief stay.A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel in Hancock, New York. Final resting place will be alongside his wife at the Riverview Cemetery at a later date. A luncheon will be served immediately following the service at the Emory United Methodist Church.Don was born on December 18, 1921 in Cadosia, New York to the late Charles and Cornelia Ronk. He was a WWII Veteran and retired from the Town of Hancock Highway Department in 1982. He enjoyed tinkering around the house and garage after retirement. He lost the love of his life, his beloved wife Mabel, in September 2017. They had been happily married for 62 years.Don is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Cornelia Ronk, two brothers George and Ray, and two happy dogs Jake and Mindy. Don is survived by three sons Donald Jr. of Fishs Eddy, David and wife Linda of New Jersey, Scott and Joan of Corbett, one granddaughter Leann, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
