Dorothy E. "Dottie" Esolen, 90, of Hancock, NY, died on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, NY, after a short illness. She was born on November 21, 1928 in East Branch, NY, the daughter of Arthur and Emily Decker. Dottie married Charles Esolen on September 19, 1976 and he predeceased her on June 27, 2015.
Surviving are 2 children, Nicholas (Maria) Possemato, and Marlene Letosky, 6 grandchildren, Johnny (Linda), Valerie (Kevin), Diana (Joe), Jessica, Cynthia (Steve), and David, 8 great grandchildren, Cassandra, Kylee, Tommy, Brianna, Ellen, Emilia, Connor, and Brennan, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Nicholas Possemato, daughter, Mary Greene, 2 grandsons, Brian Letosky and Zachary Possemato, son in law, John Letosky, and 3 siblings, Fred Decker, Francis "Tarz" Decker, and Doris MacDonald.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 7, 2019 at noon at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Hancock, followed by burial in St. Pauls Cemetery.
