Edward Moldenhauer, Sr., born on October 27, 1934, died peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2013 in Liberty, New York, after a brief hospitalization.Ed was employed for 45 years as an owner-operator truck driver for various firms, including Anchor Motor Freight and New England Motor Freight and had been retired for several years. Additionally, Ed and his wife, Diane, owned and operated a bar and restaurant, Schrawder Mountain Inn, in Starlight, PA. They also resided in East Brunswick and Brick, NJ, Kissimmee, FL, and Hancock, NY with his last residence in Barnegat, NJ. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diane Jellison Moldenhauer. His daughter, Patricia Vernooy, her husband, Scott, and grandson, Scotty, reside in Hancock, NY. His son, Edward Moldenhauer, Jr., his wife, JoAnn, and grandchildren, Nicole and Eric, reside in the Fort Worth, TX area. He is also survived by his sister, June Canning of East Brunswick, NJ, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were provided by Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, 29 Main Street, Hancock, NY 13783 and were private.
