Elizabeth ("Lizzy") June Mason, 81, of Fishs Eddy, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Roscoe Regional Rehab Center, Roscoe. She was born on April 22, 1932 in Readburn. She was the daughter of Jules and Ella (Brush) Rolland. Elizabeth married Thomas E. Mason Sr. on June 25, 1955 in Fishs Eddy and he predeceased her on February 6, 1992. Lizzy was an avid bowler who enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Elizabeth is survived by 2 sons, Thomas Jr. and wife Aleta, Long Eddy, and David Rolland, Walton, 10 grandchildren, Jeffrey LaGrange, Amber (James) Sullivan, Erika (William) Gill, Matthew Rolland, Jodie (Michael) Smith, Jennifer (Luke) Higley, Jamie (Jessica) Somers, Dylan Mason, Lisa Rolland, and Debbie Mason, and 12 great grandchildren, Grace Sullivan, Mary Sullivan, Paige Gill, Jordyn Gill, Rylee Smith, Aubrey Smith, Caden Higley, Bryant Higley, Broc Higley, Ethan Gill, Cambrie Higley, and Olivia Somers. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by 1 daughter, Patricia Somers, 3 sons, Jules, Michael, and Clinton Mason, 4 sisters, and 5 brothers. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 4-7PM at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11AM in Partridge Island Cemetery, Fishs Eddy. Donations can be made in Elizabeth's memory to the Hancock Rescue Squad.
