Erika C. Stoddart, 89, of Hancock, NY, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at home. She was born on February 14, 1937 in Aachen, Germany, the daughter of Bert and Betty Ritterbecks.

Erika married John Stoddart on September 29, 1978. They made Hancock, NY, their home since 2006. John predeceased Erika in 2013.

Surviving are 1 brother, Heinz Ritterbecks, Germany; 2 sisters, Margarete Aldred, FL, and Ursula Limmer, Germany; cousin, Nathalie Faucette, NC; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by 2 brothers: Ulrich and Bert Ritterbecks, Germany.

Erika’s wishes were for cremation and interment, next to John, will be at a later date in French Woods Cemetery, French Woods, NY.
