Ernest H. Thomas Sr., 73, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. He was born on July 26, 1939 in Horton, NY, the son of Arnold and Leona Thomas. Ernest attended Roscoe School . He was a self employed logger/stone cutter. Ernie loved the outdoors, fishing, baseball, and NASCAR. He also loved life and lived it to the fullest. Surviving are a daughter, Tina (Chuck) Berry, sons, Ernest Jr., Mike, and Luke Thomas, 1 brother, Richard (Paula) Thomas, sisters, Marilyn Johnson, and Dawn (James) McDonald, all of the Hancock area, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a sister in law, Cindy Corbett, Sidney, NY, and a brother in law, Chuck White, Endicott, NY. Ernie was predeceased by his wife, Mary Thomas, a son, Ronald Thomas, 3 brothers, Alton, Mitchell, and Norman, and his twin sister, Naomi Sliter. A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 20th, 2013 at the funeral home.
