Esther E. Ebert, 94, of East Branch, NY, died on Friday, January 18, 2019, at home, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 30, 1924 in, Peakville, NY, the daughter of Walter and Anna (Knapp) Wormuth. Esther married Vincent Ebert on September 27, 1942 in East Branch, NY, and he predeceased her on October 16, 1987. Esther enjoyed reading and puzzles and in her later years, she loved to draw and going to see her grandson, Yancey Brown, preach. Esthers greatest hobby was loving her large family of children and grandchildren. Esther had 12 children, she is survived by 6 children, Clarence "Buster" (Pam) Ebert, Robert (Barbara) Ebert, Chris Ebert, Julie (Jack) Vernold, Tucker (Margaret) Ebert, and David Johnson. She is also survived by 43 grandchildren, over 100 great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and even 1 great great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Esther was predeceased by 6 children, Christina, Allen, Vincent Jr., and Walter Ebert, Anna Weyrauch, and Deborah Craft, 1 brother, Paul Wormuth, and 2 sisters, Ruth Hendershot and Evelyn Finkle. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 12PM-2PM with a funeral service following at 2PM all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. Interment will be in the spring in East Branch Cemetery, East Branch, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Esthers memory to the East Branch Fire Department, East Branch, NY, 13756.
