Esther W. Merwin, 94, of East Branch, NY, died on Saturday, December 24, 2016, at Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY, after a short illness. She was born on August 22, 1922 in Carney's Point, NJ, the daughter of William and Virginia (Hewitt) Hillman. Esther marrried Kenneth Merwin and he predeceased her on April 4, 1998.Surviving are 3 children, Grant Merwin, Charlotte and husband John Smits, and Tracy and husband Sean Foster, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and extended family, Paul Cicio and Elaine Lehr. She was predeceased by 2 children, Emma Jane Tyler and Kenneth Merwin. Esther's request was for no services. Donations can be made in Charlotte's memory to the East Branch Community Church, P.O.
