Eugene R. Bullis, 83, of Cadosia, NY, died on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NY, after a brief illness. He was born on March 22, 1939 in Long Eddy, NY, the son of Robert and Eleanor (LeRoy) Bullis. Gene married Joanne Bartholomew on August 26, 1980 in Cadosia, NY. She predeceased him on May 3, 2008. Gene was a simple man and truly one of a kind. He worked many years for Tompkins Bluestone and had a passion for bluestone; he had the knack for making something out of nothing. Surviving are his daughter, Kimberly Mason and partner Tom Antoni; 2 granddaughters, Dallas and Juanita Mason; 4 great grandchildren: Ariana, Kyla, Night, and Braylynn; 4 siblings: Joan Pritchard, Elaine Doyon, Allen Bullis Sr., and Benny Bullis; many nieces and nephews; brother in law, Paul Bartholomew; and best friend, Dick Mirch. Gene was predeceased by an infant son, Christopher; step daughter, Tina Kryeski; and 4 siblings: Katherine Soules, Ruth Wormuth, Vicki Rogers, and Robert Bullis Jr. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 10AM-1PM followed by a funeral service at 1PM all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
