Eugene T. Salvatore, 88, passed away on January 26, 2025 at the Crown Park Nursing Home in Cortland, NY, just 2 days shy of his 89th birthday.

Born and raised in Hancock, NY, he was predeceased by his parents, Mr & Mrs Frank F. Salvatore; 5 brothers: Frank F., John C., James V., Louis M., Peter P.; and nephew, Michael Salvatore Jr. (Mikie). He is survived by two brothers, Edward D. Salvatore, Brentwood, NY, and Michael M. (Beth) Salvatore, Hancock, NY; and two sisters, Anne Garubba, Pittston, PA, and Marie DeVore, West Windsor, NY. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grand nephews.

After graduating from Hancock Central School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on November 30, 1953. Eugene proudly served his country during the Korean War as a PFC and was a recipient of the following medals: National Defense Service Medal, United Nation Service Medal, Korea Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged in November, 1961.

Eugene was cremated and interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hancock, at a later date.
