Evelyn J. (Furman) Fish, 76, of Hancock, NY, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 8, 2021. Evelyn was born on June 30, 1944 in Walton, NY, the daughter of the late Leroy and Fern (Dunshee) Furman. She married Franklin R. (John) Fish, Jr. on April 28, 1977.
Evelyn is survived by her husband: Franklin R. (John) Fish, Jr. of Hancock; her daughter: Victoria (Edward) Kravetsky of Orson, Pa; four grandchildren: Ariel Kravetsky, Brianne (Travis) Drake, Mikayla Kravetsky, and Thomas Michael Kravetsky; three great-grandchildren: Owen, Wyatt, and Noah Drake; two sisters: Betty (Wayne) Brown of Aumsville, OR, June (John) Phoenix of Walton, NY; one brother: Douglas (Joanne) Furman of Walton, NY, and an aunt, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Evelyn was predeceased by her daughter, Nicole Van Valkenburg.
Evelyn was a graduate of the Walton Central School and lived in Walton, working as a hairdresser. After marrying John, she moved to Hancock, where she worked for the Hancock Central School in the cafeteria and as a bus driver. Evelyn has touched the lives of many, leaving them with fond memories. She adored her dog, Jenny, and enjoyed playing ball with her. She always loved spending time with her grandchildren and going out for coffee with her friends. She was an avid prankster and enjoyed a good laugh. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Ladies Bowling Team. Evelyn was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Evelyns wishes were for cremation. A private memorial and burial will be held at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock, NY.
