Flora F. Babcock, 89, of Lanesville, NY, died on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Mountainside Care Center. She was born on June 21. 1934, the daughter of Harvey and Flora (Law) Ostrander. She married Army Veteran, Myron Babcock, on February 22, 1953 and he predeceased her on May 12, 1989.

Flora retired from Bard Parker after many years. She loved flowers in her gardens, football games, collecting cookie jars and nick nacks, and watching her soap operas everyday.

Surviving are her son, Jeffrey Babcock; daughter, Linda Bernstein; 4 grandchildren: Henry Bernstein (Antonia), and Robert Myron, Katherine Ann, and Daniel Alan Babcock; 3 great grandsons: Henry Bernstein IV, and Levi and Westley Babcock; 3 close nieces: Sharon Edwards, Peggy Benjamin, and Carol Benjamin; 2 close nephews, Bobby Ostrander and Edward Benjamin; and several other nieces and nephews. Flora was predeceased by 2 sisters, Eleanor Sweet and Nellie Lane; brother, Robert Ostrander; nephew, Carl Lane; her companion for over 30 years, Burdett Booth; and her long time friend, Elsie Persons.

A graveside service will be held in the spring in Harvard Cemetery, Harvard, NY.
