Florence L. Geer, 93, widow of Wilfred Geer, passed away December 27, 2020. She was born in Hancock, NY, on March 3, 1927. She was a lifelong resident of Hancock prior to her residency at the Hilltop Nursing Home in Johnson City, NY. Flowers were Florences lifelong enjoyment. She was the last charter member of the Delaware Valley Garden Club in the Hancock Chapter. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens Club and the Hancock Baptist Church. Florence worked for 21 years at the Hancock Central School. Surviving are her son, Gerard and wife Elaine, Binghamton, NY, one daughter, Yvonne Geer, Mountain Rest, SC, two grandchildren, Jonathan Geer, Washington, DC, and Lisa Geer-Yan, MD and husband David Yan, MD, Venice, FL, and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Theresa Egan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Delaware Valley Garden Club Alice Furfaro, 50 Maple St., Hancock, NY, 13783. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in FL. Burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock. Arrangements by Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
