Francis "Frank" Albert Brunner, 83, of Cadosia, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on October 12, 2018. Frank was born August 9, 1935, in Teaneck, New Jersey, the son of the late James and Margret Brunner. He was married to the former Judith Mahan on June 21, 1959. She passed away on October 18, 2001. Frank grew up on the family farm in Harvard where he still enjoyed spending time. He worked construction and was a 'tunnel rat' for some time before spending 27 years working for the New York State Department of Transportation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and looked forward to his trips to Black Lake each year. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren's and great grandchildren's various sporting events. Frank is survived by his siblings Doris Brunner of South Kortright, Kathryn (Richard) Durbeck of Hancock, Marie Gales of Starlight, PA, Anna (Rick) Nanni of Binghamton, and Leonard (Dixie) Brunner of Kansas City, Missouri; children Joe (Jennifer) Brunner of East Branch, Mary Jo Brunner of Masonville, Julie Brunner of Mount Upton, and Michele (Michael) Blincoe of Sidney; grandchildren Jeremy (Samantha) Brunner of East Branch, Thomas Dugon III of Afton, James Brunner of Cadosia, Aaron Zurn of Sidney, Dylan Umbra of Masonville and Madison Blincoe of Sidney; great grandchildren Olivia, Gavin, Natalie, Thomas and Jordan; as well as many neices, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 10AM-11:30AM followed by a funeral mass, all to be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Hancock, NY. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hancock, NY. Following the burial the family will receive guests at Franks home in Cadosia.
