Franz Godfrey Wirz, 86, of New Carlisle, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Wright Nursing and Rehab Center in Fairborn, Ohio. A retired Master Sergeant from the US Air Force, he belonged to the Civil Air Patrol and the Masonic Temple. Survivors include his wife Charlotte (McKinney-Bolin) Wirz; children Pam Wirz, Kurt G. (Melody) Wirz, Vickie (David) Forrest and Kim(Chris) Clinehens, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Godfrey and Jessie (Charles) Wirz and infant brother Godfrey. Military services will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 11 AM at the Eberle-Fisher Funeral Home 103 N. Main St London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow on Saturday, April 18th, at 11AM in the family plot at East Branch Cemetery, in East Branch (Hancock), New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Jefferson VFW, 56 North Walnut street, West Jefferson, OH 43162.
