Fred "Fritz" L. Mistler, 55, of Hancock, NY, died on Sunday, April 3, 2016, at home, after a short battle with cancer. He was born on March 30, 1961 in East Patchogue, NY, the son of William and Rosemarie Mistler. Fritz married Kathie Thomas on May 18, 1985. He was a US Army Veteran and a past member of the Long Eddy Fire Department. Fritz loved hunting, fishing, and camping.Surviving are wife, Kathie, 2 daughters, Laura and Rosemarie Mistler, 2 grandchildren, Donel and Amaya, 2 brothers, Steven and Brian Mistler, and 1 sister Diane Mistler. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 2-4PM with a service following at 4PM all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
