George L. Ronk Sr., 69, of Hancock, NY, died on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY, after an illness. He was born on July 27, 1946 in Hancock, the son of George and Madeline (Dietz) Ronk. George married Pamela Keesler on November 28, 1987 in East Branch. He was a life long member of the East Branch and Hancock Fire Departments. George was a US Army Veteran. He was employed by the Town of Hancock for several years and retired from the Village of Hancock Police Department. George loved to go hunting, snowmobiling, and trips to Old Forge and Lake George. He loved traveling with Pam and and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Pam, 5 children, George Jr. and wife June, Matthew Ronk, Tanya Ronk, Glenna Jennings, Donald Jennings, and Carrie Ann Jennings, 27 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 sister, Lorie and husband Randy Brown, and many nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his parents, 1 son, Frankie Ronk, 1 daughter, Jackie Ronk Gray, 2 granddaughters, Felicha Jennings and Sierra Ronk, and 2 sisters, Jill Hills, and Georgene Ronk. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 6-9PM and the funeral will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 2PM all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. Interment will follow in Partridge Island Cemetery, Fishs Eddy, NY.
