Gerhard W. Kuenecke, 70, of Hancock, New York, passed away July 13, 2020, at home from a heart attack. He was born May 15, 1950, in Kemnath, Germany, son of late Emma and Gerhard J Kuenecke and brother to late Peter and Harold Kuenecke. Gerhard was raised in Sayville New York where he developed an appreciation for agriculture, gardening, and forestry. He was a kind-hearted soul who had a green thumb and love of nature and the outdoors. He is survived by his daughters Rebecca (Kuenecke) May of Seattle, Washington, and Sarah (Kuenecke) Alexander of Suzhou, China. There will be no service.
