Gloria D. Schror, 73, of Hancock, passed on to a more glorious place, on Thursday, December 21, 2023. She was born on August 19,1950 in Rock Royal, NY, to Harland W. and Golden Juanita ( Beardsley) Walley. Her husband of 37 years, Paul Schror predeceased her on March 29, 2007.

Gloria worked at Becton Dickinson (Bard Parker) for many years until the plant closed. She then spent a few years at Amphenol Aerospace before retiring in 2010. In her younger years she always loved her time on the golf course and the bowling lanes or just hanging out with many of her friends and coworkers. In her later years she enjoyed spending time outside watching the birds where she found a love of hummingbirds and had collected over 100 hummingbird chimes.

Gloria is survived by the families nine children, John Schror, Elanor Kennedy, Paul and wife, Josephine Schror, Christina Lord, Dana and husband, Bucky Kauffman, Andrew Schror, Brandon and wife, Erin Schror, Erik and wife, Holly Schror, and Fayth and husband, George Cleary. Her sisters Rosemary Moore and Michele Wormuth, She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren with one additional great-grandchild due in the spring; many nieces, (including her favorite niece) nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by both parents, four brothers: Harland, Russel, Donald, and Gearald; five sisters: Virginia, Pearl, Linda, Debbie, Ruth and a daughter, Mildred.

Gloria's wishes were for cremation with no services.

Memorial donations may be made in Gloria's memory to either the Town of Hancock Ambulance, P.O. Box 733, Hancock, NY 13783, the Hancock Education Foundation, P.O. Box 819, Hancock, NY, 13783 or to the Hancock Fire Dept., P.O. Box 883, Hancock, NY, 13783. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
