Grace C. Claycomb, loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, of Starlight, died at her home on January 9, 2022. She was 89 years old. Grace was born on April 9,1932, in Salix, Pennsylvania, to Charles and Sadie Sherman Kring. She married Shimer Claycomb on March 16, 1948. Later, Grace worked at Bard Parker, where she was employed for many years and made many good friends. After Grace retired from Bard Parker, she and Shimer moved to Starlight and spent their retirement years doting over their grandchildren, enjoying life on the Delaware, and watching the hummingbirds and eagles that frequently flew by their home.
Grace was predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Alice, Laura, Norma, and Dolores; her grandson, Lawrence Jenson, Jr., and her beloved husband of 66 years, Shimer. She is survived by her children, Shimer (Pat); Ricky; Wanetta (Lawrence) Jenson; and Beverly (Bill) Kruchas, and her 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A private funeral service will be held by her family, and interment will be in the spring at Stockport Cemetery.
