Grace M. Senia, 76, of Hancock, NY, died on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Barnes Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA, after a long illness. She was born on October 4, 1939 in Cortland, NY, the daughter of Gibson and Gertrude (Cook) Davis. Grace married Andy Senia on June 26, 1971 in Hancock, NY. Grace was a school teacher for many years having taught at Hancock Central School, Honesdale High School, and Binghamton High School. Being a forever student herself, she had a true passion for studying, especially famous writers and musical composers. She also had a love of music and taught piano lessons. Grace was a member of the Emory United Methodist Church in Hancock where she was a United Methodist Woman and a member of the choir. She enjoyed fashion and trips to Maine with her family. Surviving are her husband, Andy, 2 daughters, Carmella and husband Brian Bullick, and Filene Travis, 4 grandchildren, who were the apples of her eye, Jaron and Gianna Bullick, and Erin and Andrew Travis. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Carol Davis and Brenda Halstrom, 4 nieces, Melody Doing, Carrie Davis, Theresa Allen, and Marlene Tuttle, and 1 nephew, Nathaniel Davis. Grace was predeceased by 1 brother, Gary Davis, and 1 niece, Patty Seely. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 4-7PM at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 10AM at the Emory United Methodist Church, Hancock. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hancock.
