Harry G. Henderson, 94, of Starlight, PA, died on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Forest City Nursing Home, Forest City, PA. He was born on March 19, 1921 in Starrucca, PA, son of Harry L. and Eva (Sanford) Henderson. Harry married Alice Lenora Mulcahy in 1944 and together they had 5 children. Alice predeceased him. Later, Harry married Pauline Furman Parks and she also predeceased him.Harry was a US Army Veteran, serving from 1943-1946. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers. Harry was a member of the Shehawken United Methodist Church, White Birch Airport, Hancock, NY, the Ultralight Club, Sidney, NY, and AARP. Harry owned 3 airplanes over his lifetime and he loved his cats. Surviving are 2 sons, Gary and wife, Jody, TN, and Ronald and wife, Richelene, IN, 1 step son, George Parks and wife Dawn, NY, 1 son in law, James Sawdy, FL, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and long time care giver, Gail Kruszynski. He was predeceased by 2 daughters, Sharon Henderson and Myrna Sawdy, 1 son, Donald Henderson, 4 brothers, and 5 sisters.A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2015 at 2PM in the Riverview Cemetery, Hancock.Donations can be made in Harry's memory to the Deposit Flying Club, 165 Stockton Ave., Walton, NY 13856.
