Howard T. Cornell, 86, of Fishs Eddy, NY, died on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Roscoe Nursing Home, Roscoe, NY. He was born on October 24, 1934 in Middlefield, NY, the son of Clyde and Inza (Whiting) Cornell. Howard married Doris E. Waterman on October 19, 1963 in Walden, NY. Throughout his life he worked for Penn Hardwood, Hancock, George Shermans American Gas Station, Hancock, Celotex, Deposit, and then retired from Larimer & Norton, Hancock. He enjoyed building and collecting clocks and going to antique car shows and flea markets. Howard was a member of the Hancock Fire Department for 58 years and served in the US Army from 1954-1957. Surviving are his wife, Doris, 2 sons, Paul and Dale Cornell, 2 brothers, LeRoy and Loren Cornell, 1 grandson, Clinton Cornell, 1 great granddaughter, Aubree Cornell, several nieces, one nephew, and one great niece and nephew. He was predeceased by a brother, Martin. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 1PM in Hale Eddy Cemetery, Hale Eddy, NY.
