Ian P. Mason, 31, of Hancock, NY, lost his fight with addiction and died on Friday, March 6, 2015. He was born on May 15, 1983, in Honesdale, PA, the son of Kenneth and Kathleen (Brennan) Mason. Ian married Jade Kellam on April 24, 2010. Ian graduated from Hancock Central School in 2001 and went right into the working field as a logger, something he had a true passion for. He was a hard worker with a very kind and gentle disposition, who had a heart of gold and would help anyone. He liked 4 wheeling, snowmobiling, and just being out and about talking to people. Ian will be remembered for his ability to make people laugh and will be missed dearly. Surviving are his wife, Jade, and their daughter, Zoie Lyn, his parents, Ken and Kathy, sister, Jillian Mason, paternal grandmother, Sonia Mason, several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He is also survived by mother-in-law, Leslie Taylor, sister-in-law, Aspyn Taylor, father-in-law, Kevin Allen and wife Jodi, grandparents-in-law, Les and Kay Kellam, Sonny Allen and Ellen Hathaway and other extended family. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 5-8PM at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. A funeral will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 11AM also at the funeral home. There will be a committal service in the spring in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock.
