Obituary

Irvin E. Kellam, 85, of Starlight, PA, died on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at home, after a short illness. He was born on October 20, 1929 in Abrahamsville, PA, the son of Albert and Freida (Mitchell) Kellam. On July 19, 1957, he married Iona Bergman in Hancock and she predeceased him on August 15, 2014.Irv worked at AA Mudge & Sons Feed Mill, Hancock, for 20 years, then Mallery Lumber Co., Hancock, also for 20 years. Finally, for the last 20 yrs of his life, up until a few months ago, he was well known for pumping gas at the Getty Gas Station. Irv was an avid NASCAR fan. Surviving are 2 children, Alan and wife Joyce Kellam, and Lori Wood, 10 grandchildren, Abigail Robbins, Alan Jr., Adam, Abram, Anna, Autumn, Amber and Ayreck Kellam, and Chris and Kim Wood, and 10 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 brothers, Les and wife Kathryn, Chester and wife Linda, Kenneth and wife Patty, and James and wife Millie, 1 sister, Joan and husband Bob Stanton, 1 sister in law, Elvira Kellam, and many nieces and nephews. Irv was predeceased by 2 brothers, Walter and Floyd, and 1 sister, Norma. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 11-1 with a service following at 1PM all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Balls Eddy Cemetery, Starlight, PA. Donations can be made in Irv's memory to the Wayne Memorial Hospice, 601 Park St., Honesdale PA 18431.
