Jack V. Buckley, 65, of Binghamton, NY, and Hancock, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Wilkes Barre General Hospital, Wilkes Barre, PA, after a long illness. He was born on September 14, 1956 in Hancock, NY, the son of Charles H. and Alice (Hormerte) Buckley.
Jack graduated from Hancock Central School, Class of 1974, and worked as an Operating Engineer. He was an avid pilot, achieving private, commercial, multi-engine, and instrument ratings. Jack had a love for golf, and was crowned the Delaware County Amateur Champion in 1989. He was a big football fan and loved rooting for his beloved Green Bay Packers. Jack had a love for life, and lived it to the fullest.
Surviving are his parents, Charlie and Alice; brother, Eric; sister, Julie (Dick) Bojo; niece, Wynter (Adam) Newman and their 2 sons, Andyn and Case; nephew, Forrest (Becky) Weyrauch; uncle, Herb (Shirley) Buckley; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles "Bucky" Buckley.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 12PM-3PM followed by a memorial service at 3PM all at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
