Obituary

James Craig Robinson, 76, formerly of Owego and Hancock NY, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, October 4th, 2017, at Wilson Hospital. Craig, as he was known to family, was born October 19th, 1940 in Cadosia NY to Francis and Alice (Fagan) Robinson. He graduated from Hancock Central in 1958 and entered the US Navy in 1962. He served for 3 years and was given an honorable discharge in 1965. Craig was a hard worker his whole life and always provided for his family. He drove truck for many years for Goldmans Comissary, and made many friends during his time working there. It was never hard for Craig to make friends, his wit and good nature made him easy and fun to be around. He was very well liked every where he went.Craig is survived by his children, Shannon Robinson, Delhi NY, Linda Gransbury, Greene, NY, Shileen(David) Jackson, Greene, NY,Shana (Fran) Drake, Hancock, NY, Shane Robinson, Greene, NY, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He is also survived by 2 sister in laws, Ruth Robinson and Andrea Robinson. Craig was predeceased by his oldest son Reginald Tuttle, Rye, CO, 2 brothers, Tom and Mike Robinson, and 1 sister, Alice Marie Stonerock. Craig's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the incredible nurses and aides that gave him such wonderful care at Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation, Elizabeth Church Manor, and Wilson Hospital. Every minute that you took out of your busy day to brighten his was greatly appreciated .Keep doing wonderful things!The family would like to invite everyone to remember and celebrate Craig's life on October 14th at 1 pm at St. Paul's Cemetery in Hancock, NY, for a graveside service.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local animal shelter, as Craig was an animal lover his whole life.Arrangements by Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
