Janet M. DeMichael, 78, of Hancock, NY, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at home. She was born on April 23, 1942 in Cold Spring, NY, the daughter of Anthony J. and Helen M. DeMichael. Janet graduated from Haldane High School in 1960 and went on to graduate from Berkeley Business School. Throughout her career she worked as a legal secretary. Prior to her retirement she worked for Jeffrey Altbach Law Offices in Liberty, New York for 18 years. Janet was a very giving person to all those in need and will be deeply missed by her family and by those who knew her. Surviving are her brother, Alan (Susan) DeMichael, sister, Sally (James) Cone, 3 nephews, Jonathan and Jared DeMichael, and Kevin Cone, and 1 niece, Karen Coombe. She was predeceased by her parents, a great niece, Michaela Coombe, and her special friend John Okulsky. A graveside service will be held in St. Pauls Cemetery, Hancock, at a later date.
