Jean R. Warfield, 86, of East Branch died on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown, NY. She was born on July 2, 1927 in Waymart, PA, the daughter of Roy and Margaret (Moser) Gunsauls. Jean married Vaughn Warfield on June 15, 1967 in Carbondale, PA. Jean was a member of the East Branch Fire Dept. and Auxiliary for over 39 years and a longtime member of the East Branch United Methodist Church. She loved to play bingo and gamble. Surviving are her husband, Vaughn, 4 children, Roy and wife Pat Gummoe, Rose and husband Chuck Buchanan, Gloria and husband Danny Houck, and Rodger and wife Kay Gummoe, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 brothers, Cyril Gunsauls, Jim and significant other Mae Gunsauls, and Butch and wife Audrey Gunsauls, many nieces and nephews, 1 brother in law, Merle and wife Charlotte Warfield, and 2 sisters in law, Irene and Kappy Warfield. She was predeceased by her grandson, Vaughn Houck, 2 brothers, Glenn and Julies Gunsauls, and sister and brother in law, Glenna and Roy Fenescey. Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 from 5-8 at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. There will be a funeral on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 10:30AM at the East Branch United Methodist Church, East Branch. Burial will follow in the East Branch Cemetery.Memorial donations can be made in Jean's memory to either the East Branch Fire Dept. or to the East Branch Methodist Church.
