Jeffery W. Davis, 47, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Hancock passed away on January 19, 2021.
Jeffery was born July 8, 1973 to Walter and Kathleen Davis at Delaware Valley Hospital. His arrival was a special day for both parents and grandparents, Walt and Ann Davis, as well as Emory and Rita Branning. He was a loving and ever friendly child who excelled in academics when enrolled at Hancock Central School, graduating in 1991.
Jeffery loved and participated in all sports and was especially proud to be a member of Hancocks championship football team in 1989.
Jeffery graduated from Colgate University in 1995 with a degree in philosophy and art history. He worked as an assistant instructor of philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin from 1995 to 2000. Jeff then pursued his interest in art history at the University of Pennsylvania graduating with a Masters in Fine Arts.
Jeff then spent many years working at the Deveraux Foundation in Philadelphia. In August of 2020 he moved to Arizona, working at Marana Health Centers First Responder program as a case manager in their mental health program specializing in Suicide Prevention for first responders
He was an avid bird watcher and photographer traveling up and down the east coast and Canada photographing birds. Since moving to the Southwest, he had enjoyed traveling throughout Arizona, as well at Texas and California photographing birds.
Jeff was predeceased by father, Walt Davis. He is survived by his mother, stepfather, Gerald DaBrescia, stepsister, Jacqueline DaBrescia Torres, special Aunt Laurie Ann Davis, aunts Regina Skinner, Barbara Lutz, Eileen Molina, Teresa Jensen and Uncles Peter and Bob Branning as well as many cousins.
A private service for immediate family will be held at the convenience of the family.
