Joan I. Sienko, 83, of Preston Park, PA, died at home on Saturday, October 5, 2013 surrounded by her family and caregivers. She was born on March 18, 1930 in Honesdale, PA, the daughter of Harvey and Inez (Stoutenberg) Pitcher. Joan married Chester Sienko on May 27, 1951 in Preston Park, PA, and he predeceased her on March 27, 2005. She enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, crocheting, gardening, reading, and caring for her cat, Molly. Joan was a long time member of the Lake Como Nakomis Rebekah Lodge and the Lake Como United Methodist Church Women's Group. She was a retired postmaster from the post office in Preston Park, PA. Surviving are 4 children, Susan and husband Stanley Shemanski, Sharon and husband Scott Drumm, Robert Sienko, and Daniel Sienko, 6 grandchildren, Kathleen, Kristen, Ronald, and Randall Shemanski, and Thomas and wife Liana Drumm, and Steven Drumm, and 2 great grandchildren, Gavin and Natalie Drumm. Joan was predeceased by 1 brother, John Pitcher. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 11AM in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hancock, NY with Pastor Pat Hanley officiating.
