John "Nino" Costanzo passed away on February 1, 2019 after a short illness. Nino was born in New York City on May 27, 1933. He worked most of his life in the restaurant business, and always prepared delicious meals for all those he cooked for. He moved from Manhattan to Hancock with his good friend Alex and family in 1977. He worked in the kitchens at LaSalette Restaurant and Delaware Inn for many years, and had a passion for what he created with the simplest ingredients. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, telling stories about the old days, his Italian heritage, and he always enjoyed the company of those around him. He will be missed by all of those he was close to. A private service will be held to celebrate his life at a later date. Arrangements by Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock.
