John R. Price, 74, of Cadosia, NY, died on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at home, after an illness. He was born on September 22, 1949, the son of John W. and Marion (Wahl) Price.

John married Marion Smith on August 29, 1970 at the Lake Como Methodist Church, Lake Como, PA.

John graduated from Hancock Central School and earned an associates degree in business from Broome Community College. He spent many years in the National Guard and began his working career at Spaulding Bakery in Vestal and then the Walton Telephone Company. John retired from Scott Machine Development in Walton after 35 years with the company.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Marion; 1 son, Donald (Kristen); 2 nephews, Chris and Shawn; sister and brother in law, Cindy and Dan Rood; and sister in law, Dot Price. John was predeceased by his son, Daniel; and brother, Richard, who he had a close relationship with.

A graveside service will be held in Riverview Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
