John C. Smits, 71, of East Branch, NY, died on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown, NY. He was born on May 5, 1950 in Wayne, NJ, the son of Cornelius and Elizabeth Smits. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Charlotte, a niece who was more like a daughter to him, Nicole Price, and 3 grandchildren, Renee, Stephanie, and Adam. Johns wishes were for cremation and there will be no services at this time. Memorial donations can be made in Johns memory to the East Branch Community Church, P.O Box 154, East Branch, NY 13756.
